PHEASANT'S TOP 5 PLACES TO VISIT IN YORKSHIRE

Bulletpoint  MASHAM  N. Yorkshire (visitmasham.com)
Undoubtedly my favourite village in the whole of North Yorkshire and always where we stay. It has everything – a pretty market square, an abundance of lovely craft workshops and galleries, the loveliest church and 2 breweries (Theakstons & Black Sheep) so the whole village smells of hops!

Bulletpoint  BRYMOR ICE CREAM PARLOUR  Masham, N. Yorkshire (abmoore.co.uk)
When we go up to Yorkshire, we'll make at least 4 trips here in a week – a real indulgence but it's such a treat to sit there in the parlour and eat their amazingly flavoured ice-cream – my favourite is always 'Supergold' - pecan nuts, toffee, chocolate and caramel sauce!

Bulletpoint  BETTY'S TEA ROOMS  York, N. Yorkshire (bettys.co.uk)
The most civilised place you could visit for a break from a day shopping in York. A pot of Tea Room Blend Tea at Betty's cannot be beaten, and when it comes to food, the Yorkshire Rarebit Toasted Sandwich is always my favourite, although my Aunt raves about their Cinnamon Toast!

Bulletpoint  THE COVER BRIDGE INN  East Whitton, N. Yorkshire (thecoverbridgeinn.co.uk)
I've been going here since I was 8 and every year have to go back for their simple ham and eggs (with half a Black Sheep) – the best you will ever taste!

Bulletpoint  AYSGARTH FALLS  Leyburn, N. Yorkshire (yorkshiredales.org.uk)
Quite breathtaking and the perfect place for a post-pub lunch walk. In certain areas of the tumbling falls, you can even have a refreshing paddle.
